Thörsdays Mönday Moka

I've been having Mönday Moka a while now so it's time I caught up!

Moka with cream and a French Madeleine (a gift from my sister).

Moka with cream and a Danish Makron (not to be confused with the French Macarons).

Mönday Moka

THE household coffee here in Scania is Zoégas, and none other will do. They say it's the water...(my friends abroad must have the same kind... 'cos they love it too!)
Here's the moka pot to my zoégas and is the first introductory picture to coming posts on "Mönday Moka".

Catching the movements

I need to get smarter and learn how to do this!
(Plan #1 for this year.)
Jamie Beck and Kevin Burg's inspiring moving photographs which they developed and call Cinemagraphs give another meaning to the phrase "catch the moment". You can almost touch it...

I'm Bear-ly here!

I've just launched a side blog in collaborations with the very trendy Lina of Desperate Designers. A creative project meant to connect people with a common goal - to raise awareness of the impending climate change.

You know that trick where you're supposed to answer quickly what cows drink and usually what pops out is "milk". (Sure, they drink water (duh), but didn't they drink mommies milk?) Well, looking at polar bears with all that icy whiteness around them I used to imagine it all melting into something that would look like melted ice-cream... - for a split-second!

My sweet little birds

Holy CRAP!! That's how happy I was when I saw that my banner was one of the suggestions Bloesem chose to show on their blog - next to a whole bunch of talented illustrators! (Imagine how crappety-crap-happy I'd have been if I'd won!)

Are fish lips cold?

I am interested in metamorphic faces. Which for me are faces that can change into the character of an animal. I have a friend whose lips are almost goldfish-like, as her eyes. Fortunatly for her that's as far as the resemblance goes. A-doodling while on the phone - she must have entered my subconciousness.

Fancy me a house

Being eye-level with the ground gives a different perspective to the world around. As a kid I used to build tiny living spaces and doors in the nooks of trees and stones I imagined fairies, tiny people or an odd cockroach might want to live in. Now older, and with less flexible joints, I have made these little houses that can easily be placed in the backyard or in a plant pot. For me it is a delightful reminder of my childhood fancies.
